Hi anon, thanks for your ask!!! Sorry this sat in my drafts for so long... Would you believe it if I said I'd never even seen that OVA? Idk how that happened - I didn't even really realize it existed?? But I was rewatching season 2 recently (for totally non cgi horse related reasons), so I finally watched it! Thank you so much for bringing it to my attention!!

And I'm sorry that this ask is going to be a nothing burger - Every time I try to answer your question about The Story of Will the Reaper, I come up with a new fully-fledged theory. I've got more French poetry in store - and also a Canadian engineering tradition started in response to a collapsed bridge. Yep, the theories are getting progressively more batshit, IDK what to tell you.

As for the skeleton on Undertaker's scythe - that's a good question, but I do not have a good answer for you. I'm sure it's not Claudia - do people still think it's Claudia? Pretty sure that theory was debunked by this panel in the manga of 136649 that predates Claudia and Undertaker's relationship.

I never liked the idea of Undertaker mounting Claudia's skull and ribcage on his death scythe anyways. It's hard to guess who exactly the skeleton belongs to... I will add it to my list!

what's please save my earth about? I keep seeing you talk abt it and I'm like 👀

"Please save my Earth" tells the story of a pack of highschoolers and a 7year old boy, who thanks to their connected dreams find out they have been living as alien researchers, studying and watching over the earth from their base on the moon in their past life. They have been reincarnated as humans and have to come to terms with the complicated relationships they had in their past lives.

And oh boy it gets interesting.

Note that the aliens I'm talking about are basically some sort of humans but upgraded. They just come from different planets apparently and have powers like communicating with plants or straight up ESP. And small spoiler but for some of them their powers activate again during the series when they're human.

The original manga by Saki Hiwatari was published in the 80s and 90s and the 6-episode OVA came out in 1995. You can watch it on YouTube although I wish I had access to a better quality of it. Personally I think the anime adaptation left some things kind of unsolved, there are implications to what happened but no deep dive into it, which is why I started reading the manga! Hopefully I'll find out more about what didn't make it on screen. So far I really like it, it's been a while since I've read shoujo, it has some humour in it and apparently it starts getting more serious and dark later on.

If you saw me posting about Jinpachi and Issei - they're kind of a subplot, the main character is Alice (Arisu) and Rin, the 7 year old menace. Their relationship is complicated and takes various turns.

Lastly for possible content warnings: there is an age gap relationship in please save my earth. It is also complicated but nothing too... shocking (??) for someone who isn't used to seeing stuff like that talked about in media. It's very tame if you ask me, you'd need to find out yourself orz

Anyways! I think I can recommend giving it a shot, it's really short but the artstyle of the anime is so ahh delicious, the characters feel so solid and shaped, I love that. And the animation is very nice as well!

MY THOUGHTS, MY LAST WORDS TO DIGIMON TRI.

Soooooooo, finally the last Digimon tri movie was released, I can't believe three years have passed since they first announced this ova's, I feel very moved. I was fifteen years old or fourteen I guess when I saw the first announcement, I was so excited, when I got bored I usually watched digimon adventure and 02 again and again because that made me happy, so when I knew this I was thrilled. I remember that I always wondered where I would be when the last movie was released and here I am, writing this bible right now, in college, incredible.

It was a good movie, way better than part 4 and 5, but nothing compares to part 3, I cried untill my eyes couldn't drop more tears. I have to be honest, I was hoping for an appropriate closure, an epilogue that tells us everything about the couples, how Yamato and Sora got together, I was hoping for Takari to become canon (at least I got lots of moments, thank you), and the 02 kids, I didn't expect them to be in Tri but come on, just a shadow? Really? It wasn't enough for me. (I won't follow any specific path so I'll just write as it comes to my mind sjdjdjdid)

First, that scene of Yamato crying with Gabumon, it was soooooooo heart touching, oh my god, I could feel everything, all the pain, I was completly moved, but I would have liked to see more of Agumon and his feelings with Taichi recently presumed "dead", but no problem.

Next, Hikari. She is my favorite character since I was little so I'm glad she had her screen time, but maybe putting the dark ocean, or giving us an explanation about her powers, I don't know, I just feel it's never enough of her. And the takari scene KDKDKDKSKFKKDKDKDISKD MAGICAL, BEAUTIFUL, WONDERFUL, I didn't expect a love confession or a kiss, this was just perfect, BUT OMG HOW COULD TOEI NOT PUT AN EPILOGUE AND TELL ME THEY ENDED UP TOGETHER, I'VE SHIP THEM FOR SO LONG, COME ON. Takeru being worried for her since the beggining was beautiful, I took like 2727282 sctrenshots while I was watching jdjdkdkkfkfkdkd, I'm happy. Hey, so what the hell is the meaning of "ill-omened goddess summoner of destruction" you must know english is not my first language so I don't understand the meaning of ill omened.

On the other hand, when Taichi appeared I was waiting some tears, hugs, idk, but well.

OH WAIT DAIGO, oh my god, oh my god, I cried so bad, I really liked him, he was so nice and kind, I can't believe he sacrificed himself for Taichi, it was such a noble thing to do, I was completly moved, he is my favorite hero right now, he deserved better but I understand that this was the thing they needed to add in order to give this ova the sad touch, just was Meicoomon's death.And talking about Meicoomon, well, I hated her and Meiko since the first ova tbh, for me they both were so annoying, useless, the screen was on them 96% of the time, but when I saw Meicoomon crying next to Tailmon my heart just broke into millions of pieces, I felt really sorry for her, she was really in pain and so frightened, they should have saved her, when she said goodbye to Meiko I was really sad, she was free, but gone. I still don't like Meiko tbh, and I DON'T LIKE MEICHI, ABSOLUTELY NOT, HOWEVER, IF THEY GIVE ME TAKARI CANON I COULD ACCEPT THAT.

So, it was a nice story, I really want to thank Toei for bringing back my favorite characters, for so long I've been through dark times but knowing that this story hadn't ended yet made me still want to live, now I don't know what am I going to do.I'm open to more sequels but they should be written with more love, well structured, not just a scramble of ideas and leaving plot holes, I'm a loyal fan and I'll stay here forever, thank you Digimon Adventure Tri for making my childhood and adolescence less terrible, I will treasure this memories for the rest of my life.
